Returns & Refunds
RETURN AND REFUND POLICY
Kalifora LLC
Last Updated: September 15, 2026
This Return and Refund Policy (the “Policy”) explains the rules applicable to order cancellations, returns, refunds, and disputes concerning physical goods purchased through Kalifora (“Kalifora,” “we,” “us”), an online marketplace operated by Kalifora LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States.
Kalifora LLC
30 N Gould St Ste R
Sheridan, WY 82801
United States
Kalifora operates a marketplace where independent manufacturers and sellers (“Sellers”) offer goods to purchasers (“Buyers”). Because Kalifora serves Buyers and Sellers worldwide, the rights and remedies available to a Buyer may depend on the Buyer’s country of residence, the destination country, the Seller’s location, the product category, and other circumstances.
Nothing in this Policy limits or excludes any consumer rights, statutory warranties, rights to refunds, cancellation rights, or other protections that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
1. Platform Model
Kalifora is an online marketplace and intermediary facilitating transactions between Buyers and independent Sellers.
Kalifora is not the manufacturer of the goods, does not hold inventory, does not purchase goods for its own ownership, and is not a party to the sales contract between the Buyer and the Seller.
The Buyer and Seller do not interact directly. All communications, order processing, payment, return processing, and dispute resolution are conducted through Kalifora. Kalifora acts as the Buyer’s single point of contact throughout the transaction.
Products listed on Kalifora are offered by individual Sellers. The applicable Seller is identified in the relevant product listing, order information, or other transaction documentation.
Kalifora facilitates the purchasing process and payment flow through the marketplace. The Buyer pays for the order through Kalifora, and Kalifora may subsequently remit the funds due to the relevant Seller in accordance with the Seller’s agreement with the Platform and applicable payment procedures.
Kalifora provides: product display, order acceptance, payment processing, order fulfillment coordination, delivery arrangements, processing of return and refund requests, and dispute resolution.
Sellers are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of product descriptions, conformity of the goods with their descriptions, product quality and safety, order completeness and preparation, shipment and delivery, applicable warranties, lawful returns and refunds, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Kalifora coordinates interaction between the parties within the Platform.
2. Your Statutory Consumer Rights
This Policy establishes a uniform marketplace process while complying with mandatory consumer protection laws.
If the law applicable to your purchase provides you with rights that are more favorable than the terms of this Policy, such mandatory rights shall prevail.
For example, certain jurisdictions provide consumers with a statutory right to cancel or withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason. Other jurisdictions provide mandatory remedies for defective, unsafe, damaged, or materially misdescribed goods.
Where such mandatory rights apply, nothing in this Policy limits those rights.
3. Cancellation Before Shipment
The Buyer may request cancellation of an order before the goods have been shipped.
If the Seller has not yet shipped the goods, the cancellation request may be accepted subject to applicable mandatory rights.
If an order is successfully cancelled before shipment, the amount eligible for refund will generally be returned through the original payment method.
If the Seller has already shipped the goods, the request will generally be treated as a return or withdrawal request rather than a pre-shipment cancellation.
Kalifora processes cancellation requests within a reasonable period, taking into account the Seller’s time zone, business days, public holidays, and the circumstances of the particular jurisdiction.
Where applicable law provides the Buyer with a mandatory right to cancel an order before shipment, that right shall prevail.
4. Cancellation Due to Seller’s Failure to Ship
Sellers must ship goods within the timeframe stated in the applicable product listing or otherwise communicated to the Buyer.
Sellers may not state a shipping timeframe without reasonable grounds to believe that the goods can be shipped within that timeframe.
If a Seller is unable to ship an order within the promised timeframe, the Buyer may cancel the order and receive a refund in accordance with applicable law.
For transactions subject to U.S. federal rules governing internet merchandise orders (FTC Mail Order Rule, 16 CFR Part 435), Sellers must have reasonable grounds for stated shipping timeframes and comply with applicable requirements if an order cannot be shipped within the promised timeframe.
Kalifora coordinates communication with the Seller within a reasonable period, taking into account the Seller’s time zone, business days, and Seller workload.
5. Returns Due to Change of Mind
The Buyer may have a statutory right to return or withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason if such a right is provided by the applicable law of the Buyer’s country.
The availability, timeframe, conditions, and allocation of costs for such a return depend on the law applicable to the transaction and the product category.
Kalifora does not establish additional return periods on its own behalf and does not create universal rights beyond those expressly provided by applicable law.
In certain circumstances, Kalifora may, at its discretion, offer the Buyer a voluntary return on the terms stated at the time of purchase. Such a return is provided as a gesture of goodwill and does not create a permanent or universal right.
Certain product categories and circumstances may be excluded from withdrawal rights under applicable law.
6. Defective, Damaged, or Non-Conforming Goods
The Buyer may request a refund, replacement, repair, price reduction, or other available remedy if the goods:
- are defective;
- were damaged before or during delivery;
- materially fail to conform to their description;
- materially differ from the goods ordered;
- do not contain required components;
- are unsafe;
- are counterfeit or otherwise unlawfully represented;
- otherwise fail to meet a mandatory standard applicable to the transaction.
The appropriate remedy depends on the circumstances and applicable law.
Where mandatory consumer protection law provides a right to repair, replacement, price reduction, cancellation, or refund, that statutory remedy shall apply in accordance with applicable law.
In the event of a defect, damage, material discrepancy from the description, or another significant problem with the goods, the Buyer has the right to a return, replacement, repair, or price reduction in accordance with applicable law.
7. Incorrect Goods or Missing Items
The Buyer should contact Kalifora within a reasonably short period if an order contains:
- the wrong product;
- the wrong quantity;
- a missing item;
- a materially different product;
- missing required accessories or components.
The Buyer may be required to provide photographs, videos, packaging information, shipping labels, or other evidence reasonably necessary to assess the claim.
If the claim is confirmed, the Buyer may receive a replacement, partial refund, full refund, or another appropriate remedy depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
8. Goods Damaged During Delivery
If goods arrive damaged, the Buyer should document the condition of the packaging and goods as soon as reasonably possible.
Where possible, the Buyer should provide:
- photographs of the outer packaging;
- photographs of shipping labels;
- photographs of the damaged goods;
- photographs of the internal packaging;
- a description of the damage;
- other information reasonably requested by Kalifora or the Seller.
The Buyer should not discard the goods or packaging until the claim has been reviewed, except where doing so is reasonably necessary for health, safety, or other legal reasons.
Responsibility for damage during delivery is determined in accordance with the applicable transaction terms, shipping circumstances, and applicable law.
9. Goods Not Received
If tracking indicates that an order has not been delivered, the Buyer may open a delivery dispute.
Depending on the circumstances, Kalifora or the Seller may request:
- the order number;
- tracking information;
- confirmation of the delivery address;
- correspondence with the carrier;
- proof of delivery;
- other information reasonably necessary to investigate the claim.
If the Seller cannot confirm delivery or otherwise resolve the issue, the Buyer may receive a refund or another remedy in accordance with applicable law and the transaction rules.
Tracking status alone does not determine the Buyer’s legal rights in any jurisdiction.
10. Return Request Procedure
Where a return, cancellation, refund, or dispute is permitted, the Buyer should submit a request through the applicable order or support interface on Kalifora.
The request must include:
- the order number;
- the relevant product;
- the reason for the request;
- a description of the issue;
- photographs or videos where necessary;
- other information reasonably necessary to assess the claim.
Kalifora forwards the request to the Seller for a response. The Seller is provided with a reasonable opportunity to respond, taking into account the Seller’s time zone, business days, public holidays, and other objective circumstances.
Kalifora may request additional information from either party and review available transaction records, correspondence, tracking information, photographs, videos, and other relevant evidence.
Kalifora will make a decision within a reasonable period after receiving sufficient information and will notify the Buyer of the decision.
11. Return Authorization
The Buyer should not send goods back to the Seller unless return instructions or authorization have been provided where such authorization is required.
The return address and return instructions may vary depending on the Seller and the product.
A return sent to an incorrect address or without following applicable instructions may result in delays or affect the ability to process the return, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
12. Return Shipping Costs
Responsibility for return shipping costs depends on the reason for the return and applicable law.
Generally:
- if the goods are defective, damaged, incorrect, or materially inconsistent with the description, the Seller may be responsible for reasonable return shipping costs where required by applicable law or the transaction terms;
- if the Buyer exercises a statutory right of withdrawal, the Buyer may be responsible for return shipping costs where permitted by applicable law and the Buyer was properly informed of this obligation;
- if the Seller or Kalifora provides a voluntary return beyond statutory requirements, the applicable return terms determine who bears the costs.
Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights.
13. Condition of Returned Goods
Where a return is permitted due to a statutory right of withdrawal, the Buyer may generally inspect the goods only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functionality, subject to applicable law.
If the goods have been used, damaged, altered, or handled beyond what is permitted under applicable law, any reduction in the refund must comply with the law governing the transaction.
With respect to defective, incorrect, damaged, or non-conforming goods, the Buyer’s statutory rights are not lost merely because the goods cannot be returned in their original condition where such condition resulted from the defect or issue forming the basis of the claim.
14. Refunds
When a refund is approved, Kalifora may process the refund through the payment method used for the original transaction, unless applicable law or payment processing requirements require or permit another method.
Depending on the reason for the refund, it may include:
- the cost of the returned or cancelled goods;
- applicable original standard shipping costs;
- refundable taxes or other amounts required by applicable law;
- refundable return shipping costs where the Seller is responsible for them.
Additional costs for optional services selected by the Buyer, such as expedited shipping, may be treated separately where permitted by applicable law.
Kalifora may deduct the refund amount from future payments to the Seller, place the Seller’s balance on hold, or assert a corresponding claim within the contractual relationship between Kalifora and the Seller.
15. Refund Timing
Kalifora will initiate an approved refund within a reasonable period after approval unless applicable law requires a different timeframe.
In certain circumstances, a refund may be delayed until:
- the returned goods have been received;
- the Buyer provides reasonable evidence that the goods were returned;
- other applicable legal requirements for processing the refund have been satisfied.
After the refund has been initiated, the time required for the funds to be credited depends on the Buyer’s bank, card issuer, payment provider, or other financial institution. The payment provider’s processing time does not change the date on which Kalifora initiated the refund.
16. Partial Refunds
A partial refund may be appropriate if:
- only part of the order is affected;
- the goods are partially defective;
- the goods materially differ from the description but do not require a full return;
- the parties have agreed to a partial refund;
- applicable law permits a price reduction instead of a full refund.
A partial refund will not be used to deprive the Buyer of a mandatory right to withdraw, return, repair, replacement, or full refund where such right applies.
17. Exchanges and Replacements
Where appropriate, the Seller may offer a replacement instead of a refund.
A replacement may be offered if:
- the wrong product was shipped;
- the goods arrived damaged;
- the goods are defective;
- a required component is missing;
- another comparable issue has occurred.
The Buyer cannot be required to accept a replacement if applicable law provides the Buyer with another mandatory remedy.
18. Seller Responsibilities
Each Seller using Kalifora is responsible for complying with the applicable laws governing its products and sales.
Sellers must:
- provide accurate product descriptions;
- disclose material product characteristics;
- state accurate prices;
- accurately state product availability;
- provide accurate shipping information;
- make reasonable efforts to ship within the stated timeframe;
- comply with applicable product safety requirements;
- comply with applicable consumer protection laws;
- comply with applicable warranties;
- respond to legitimate Buyer claims;
- provide appropriate return and refund information;
- cooperate with Kalifora in resolving disputes.
A Seller may not use marketplace policies, listing terms, or other contractual terms to waive a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
19. Kalifora’s Role in Disputes
Kalifora may assist in resolving disputes between Buyers and Sellers.
If a dispute cannot be resolved directly between the parties, Kalifora may review available evidence and determine what actions should be taken within the marketplace system, including, where appropriate:
- approving or denying a refund;
- authorizing a return;
- requesting additional evidence;
- issuing a partial refund;
- issuing a full refund;
- requiring a replacement;
- restricting Seller activity;
- taking other marketplace measures.
Any marketplace decision made by Kalifora does not eliminate or replace mandatory legal rights available to the Buyer or Seller.
20. Buyer Evidence and Cooperation
For the purpose of investigating a return, refund, or dispute, Kalifora may request reasonable evidence from the Buyer or Seller.
Examples include:
- photographs;
- videos;
- product serial numbers;
- packaging photographs;
- shipping labels;
- tracking records;
- proof of delivery;
- invoices;
- correspondence;
- product specifications;
- other information relevant to the transaction.
A party that fails to provide reasonably requested evidence may have its claim or response assessed based on the information available.
Kalifora may take reasonable measures to prevent fraudulent or abusive returns.
21. Fraudulent or Abusive Claims
Kalifora may investigate claims that appear to involve:
- false statements;
- fabricated evidence;
- repeated fraudulent refund requests;
- unauthorized payment activity;
- intentional damage to goods;
- abuse of return procedures;
- manipulation of tracking or delivery information;
- other fraudulent or abusive conduct.
Where permitted by applicable law, Kalifora may restrict Platform functionality, suspend accounts, hold transactions pending completion of an investigation, or take other appropriate measures.
Nothing in this section permits Kalifora or a Seller to withhold funds in violation of mandatory law.
22. Goods Subject to Special Return Restrictions
Certain product categories may be subject to special return, refund, health, safety, hygiene, customs, or regulatory requirements.
Such categories may include:
- personalized or custom-made goods;
- perishable goods;
- sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons after opening;
- goods manufactured to the Buyer’s specifications;
- goods that cannot lawfully be returned;
- goods subject to import or export restrictions;
- other categories for which applicable law provides special rules.
Any applicable restriction must be disclosed to the Buyer before the order is placed where required by law.
Mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain in force.
23. International Orders
Kalifora supports international marketplace transactions.
International orders may be subject to:
- customs procedures;
- import duties;
- taxes;
- customs clearance charges;
- local regulatory requirements;
- carrier restrictions;
- product-specific import restrictions;
- other requirements applicable in the destination country.
The treatment of customs duties, taxes, and other charges may depend on the applicable order terms and the laws of the destination country.
The Buyer should review the information displayed at checkout and any applicable Seller information before completing an international purchase.
24. Sanctions and Export Controls
Sellers must comply with all applicable sanctions and export control laws, including regulations of the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), applicable European Union rules, United Kingdom rules, United Nations requirements, and the laws of other applicable jurisdictions.
Goods subject to applicable sanctions or export prohibitions may not be offered, sold, or shipped to persons, organizations, or countries subject to such restrictions.
Kalifora may suspend or cancel any transaction that, in Kalifora’s reasonable judgment, may violate applicable sanctions or export control laws.
25. Undelivered or Refused Shipments
If an order is returned to the Seller because the Buyer:
- provided an incorrect or incomplete address;
- refused delivery;
- failed to collect the shipment;
- failed to comply with applicable delivery or customs requirements;
- otherwise caused the shipment to become undeliverable,
any refund, if applicable, will be determined in accordance with the applicable transaction terms and law.
This section does not limit mandatory consumer rights.
26. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
The Buyer should generally use Kalifora’s return and dispute procedures before initiating a payment dispute where the matter can reasonably be resolved through Kalifora.
Nothing in this Policy prevents the Buyer from exercising any non-waivable right available under applicable law or through the payment provider.
If a payment is reversed, refunded, or otherwise disputed, Kalifora may investigate the transaction and request information from the Buyer or Seller.
27. Force Majeure
Neither Kalifora nor the Sellers shall be liable for delays, non-performance, or inability to perform caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- natural disasters;
- war, sanctions, or embargoes;
- strikes or labor disputes;
- disruptions affecting carriers, ports, or customs authorities;
- epidemics, pandemics, or quarantine restrictions;
- actions of government authorities;
- other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the relevant party.
The affected party must notify the other party of such circumstances within a reasonable period. This section does not limit mandatory consumer rights.
28. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Any disputes arising from or relating to this Policy shall be subject to the courts of the State of Wyoming, United States, unless applicable mandatory law requires otherwise.
This section does not deprive a consumer of protections guaranteed by the mandatory laws of the consumer’s usual place of residence.
29. No Waiver of Mandatory Rights
Nothing in this Policy:
- excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law;
- eliminates mandatory consumer warranties;
- eliminates mandatory withdrawal or cancellation rights;
- prevents the Buyer from exercising rights granted under applicable consumer protection laws;
- prevents a competent authority or court from applying mandatory law.
If any provision of this Policy conflicts with mandatory law applicable to a particular transaction, the mandatory law shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.
30. Changes to This Policy
Kalifora may update this Policy from time to time.
The updated version will be published on Kalifora with a revised “Last Updated” date.
The version applicable to an order will generally be the version in effect at the relevant time, subject to mandatory law and any special terms applicable to the particular transaction.

32. Important Notice
Kalifora is an international online marketplace and aggregator. The legal rights applicable to a particular purchase may depend on the Buyer’s location, the Seller’s location, the destination country, the product category, and other circumstances.
This Policy establishes a general marketplace mechanism for returns and refunds. It is not intended to replace mandatory consumer protection laws applicable to a particular transaction.
If applicable law provides the Buyer with broader rights than those described in this Policy, those statutory rights shall apply.
